Paris Train Station Painting by Monet

In 1883, Claude Monet settled in Virginie and built a small garden there for painting. He planted a lot of lotus in the pool Monet paintings, which made him find the themes to achieve his goal: to draw some hard bodies, water and air and try to make them gather together.

The impressionism art painting showed Monet desire of complex blending without sad mood. Each person studying Monet creative activities development will find if the initial fate contributed to the development trend of Monet, so then he created his fate later. The reason why Monet becomes the founder of impressionism style and is recognized "first class" by his friends is due to his unshakable and strong will.

As is known to all, impressionism means the revolution of feeling and observation ways in this painting of famous city, which not only has changed painting, sculpture, music, and the literature. As of today, it still has not lost its important influence and has been changing us.

Vincent van Gogh Painting Irises

During the first month of his confinement, painting Vincent van Gogh was permitted to work in the men quarters, the only area he can continue to paint. Irises were painted in the garden to the south of the only area. Vincent van Gogh told his brother that he got along well with his fellows, they liked to see him painting, and they would leave if he required.

Digging deeper into this Post impressionism painting, we will find a white iris standing out of the violet ones, given what happened during that time and the atmosphere expressed in this painting, people guess that the painter want to express his loneness, however, this is just a subjective speculation, neither Vincent van Gogh nor his brother ever put forth this opinion.

Actually, Vincent van Gogh painted Irises shortly after he voluntarily admitted himself into the St.-Paul-de-Mausole asylum in Saint-Rémy, France. A place is abuzz with terrible cries and howls like beasts in a menagerie day and night, for there are some patients very seriously ill.

British Neo-classical and Pre-Raphaelite Painter John William Waterhouse

When J.W.Waterhouse was five, his family went back to England.. Waterhouse in early years learned painting and sculpture in his father art studio. Later in the year 1870, he entered the Royal College of Art in London. Waterhouse early paintings were in a consistent style of paintings in classical themes, which were very popular in some art exhibitions. In 1874 his painting Sleep And His Half Brother Death received favorable comments at the Royal Academy of Arts summer exhibition which resulted in his participation in the annual exhibition of the Royal College of Art.

The painting Sleep and His Half Brother Death is one of Waterhouse best painting. It shows two figures reclining in short bed in a lighted room. The posture of the figure shows some sort of fatigue. The boy slept outside was illuminated by the light while his half brother was enshrouded by the shadow. This is a subtle contrast, suggesting the diaphragm of life and death. The two boys are just look the same but something different, which initiated ponder of people life.

One of Waterhouse most famous paintings reproductions is "The Lady of Shalott", a study of Elaine of Astolat, who dies of grief when Lancelot will not love her. He actually painted three different versions of this character, in 1888, 1896, and 1916.

Paul Cezanne Still Life Painting

When Cezanne painted something like the fruits peach and apple, he used paint to outline the skin and caught a glimpse of their reflections. Most of Paul Cezanne paintings embody his personal thought of artistic, showing a strong sense of geometry, ignoring the accuracy of the texture and shape of objects. He emphasizes heavy, the overall sense of volume and the relationship between different objects. Sometimes he even gives up the individual independence and authenticity in order to seek the harmony of the various relationships.

His early work shows the influence of French masters Courbet and Delacroix, but later in 1877 Cezanne abandoned Impressionism. Cezanne in early time mostly used realistic painting technique, and choose real but difficult scenario as the subject matter of the painting. In his later years, the painting style changed, left us pieces of mild and bright landscape paintings. He thought that art should be harmonious with nature.

One of very important genre for Cezanne was the still life, which he has made about 200 pieces over the course of 40 years. In still life paintings, he painted the fruit dish with a shallow so as to compressed space. In the eyes of Cezanne, the essence of his practice is modulating.

Dora Maar the Crying Woman in Picasso Painting

The crying woman was named Dora Maar, who was an accomplished photographer from Yugoslavia. She had long been considered the most whirling woman among Pablo Picasso paintings so many long-term mistresses or wives.  In 1936, when she was nearly 30 years old, she met the master 55-year-old Picasso. From then on to 1946, she was the most beloved lover of the master.

Crying Woman portrayed an extremely sad woman whose mournful fate and emotions were reflected by extensive colors and brushwork. Her eyes, lip, and nose appeared to be reversed and fragmented, which had the characteristics that the ordinary people hardly understood.

Picasso made an evaluation to this relationship lasting for 10 years: in addition to cry, he had no memory of her. In the last 3 years of their relationship, in an annoying spring, lovingly pathetic female painter Francis Gino took the initiative to show love to Picasso and became the goodness of his surrealism paintings.
